Application

For roof and wall applications.

Description

Metal liner roof system, with a low thermal transmittance (U-Value) of 0.09 W/m²K. Suitable for use where speed of installation is required.

All work undertaken should be fully in accordance with Kalzip standard recommendations and by Kalzip approved welding contractors. Site welding must be carried out fully in accordance with Approved Welding Procedure Specification ASW/TIG/001 Rev ‘B’ 1997 as defined in BS EN ISO 9606-2 for material gauges between 0.8–3 mm thickness. Site welding operatives must be certified to BS EN ISO 9606-2 standard for material gauges between 0.8–3 mm thickness. The weld test procedure shall be in accordance with BS EN ISO 15614-2: 2005.

Kalzip sheets to be installed as per cladding manufacturer's instructions.

Features and benefits:

  • Provides a technically sound solution for roof U-values by combining rigid insulation boards with glass mineral fibre layers. The symbiosis of the two insulation types give the system its high performance in achieving low U-values, allowing a significantly greater overall thermal resistance to be achieved compared to that of any one single layer of insulation of the same total thickness.
  • The Kalzip liner roof system has the outer Kalzip standing seam roof sheet and the internal Kalzip liner trapezoidal profiled liner sheet laid in the same direction across roof purlins, acting as the primary support. Typical purlin centres would be approximately 1.4–1.8 m.
  • A non-fragile walkable Kalzip liner sheet can be quickly installed to provide a weather cover for those working below. The remainder of the roofing components can then be installed without affecting the critical path of the construction programme.
  • Suitable for a wide range of applications.
