Bespoke British design, manufactured in the UK to suit our Client specifications.
Summary
Providing thermal resistance of 1.8 w/m²K, the Bolton Gate Thermafold 1000, insulated folding door is ideally suited for structural openings where a reduction in thermal transmission is required.
The flat faced panel construction provides a robust, yet aesthetically pleasing appearance capable of withstanding high wind load conditions.
Each Thermafold 1000 is bespoke and manufactured to order allowing significant flexibility when developing product specifications. With either manual or electric operation the floor mounted pivot arrangement removes the need for a recessed floor track to span the opening.
The energy saving option of an integrated wicket door can be incorporated allowing access to authorised personnel without the need to open the full door.
Operation
The doors are manually operated as standard and this includes internally mounted espagnolette locking.
The electric option includes a 230volt nominal single phase motor mounted at high level on each door leaf.
A specialist control panel is provided to ensure both sides operate simultaneously this includes integrated open/close/stop push buttons and is mounted adjacent to the opening.
A manual disconnection device is provided to allow emergency manual operation in the event of power failure.
A wide range of control options to suit the site specific requirements can be facilitated by the control panel including radio control, proximity readers, photocells, loops and timers etc.
Arrangement
The standard arrangement comprises a pair of door leaves each with two panels. The door leaves fold back to the jambs and bunch at 90°, perpendicular, to the opening.
With bespoke construction, other arrangements can be fabricated including fixed side and head panels – please contact the Sales Department to discuss.
Panels
The panels are constructed from rolled steel hollow sections with 2mm thick flat galvanised steel facing sheets. The panels are each filled with a high density, thermal insulation material and have an overall thickness of 64mm.
Seals
Brush strip is mounted at the top and lower edge of the door panels and a heavy duty rubber seal is mounted to full height between each panel.
Tracks
The Thermafold 1000 is designed to be operated without a bottom track allowing a continuous floor surface. Heavy duty floor mounted bearings support the weight of each half door.
A compact 54 x 42mm top guide track keeps headroom requirements to a minimum.
Finish
The standard door finish is galvanised. Polyester powder coating in a wide range of RAL colours is available as an optional extra.
Maximum Size
6000mm clear with x 6000mm clear height
Larger openings can be accommodated by incorporating matching fixed over panels or side panels or even by upgrading to the heavier duty Thermafold 2000.
Weight
Approximately 50kg per m² albeit this may vary dependent on the door width and height.
Options
Manual operation in lieu of electric operation.
Polyester powder coating in a range of standard colours.
Wicket door complete with hardware.
Vision panels.
When electric, a wide range of control options including:-
· Digi-pad access
· Remote control fobs
