Application

Suitable for use in new build, conversion or refurbishment projects based on concrete structures of 400 kg/m² (minimum).

Description

The HD1007 Hush System HDC from Hush Acoustics is ideal for providing a high level of acoustic insulation in separating floors/ceilings constructed using a concrete structure at 400 kg/m² minimum.

A relatively simple yet effective concept, its excellent performance characteristics are possible thanks to the quality of the Hush Acoustics insulation materials it utilises, particularly Hush Panel 28 for the creation of a floating floor.

An economical and fully tested system, HD1007 Hush System HDC can be applied in new build, conversion or refurbishment projects and is fully compliant with the relevant UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).

How the HD1007 is formed:

  • Hush Panel 28, with all tongue and groove joints glued using Hush Bond and all perimeters sealed using Hush-Seal 20, is laid over 200mm in situ concrete slab (400 kg/m2).
  • Timber battens are fixed to the underside of the concrete at required centres.
  • One layer of 12.5mm Gyproc Soundbloc or Fireline plasterboard is then secured to the timber battens and all perimeters are sealed prior to skimming.

Acoustic Performance*

Impact (LnTw) - 57 dB

Airborne (DnTw) - 55 dB

Airborne (DnTW+Ctr) - 48 dB

* Results based on the full Hush System HD1007 being used in conjunction with concrete structures at the specified density.
