Application

Suitable for use in new build, conversion or refurbishment projects with masonry floors, based on concrete structures of 400 kg/m² (minimum).

Description

A fully developed economical sound insulation system between separating floors. The HD1018 Hush Overlay For Masonry system from Hush Acoustics enables the acoustic performance of a separating masonry or concrete floor to be upgraded with total confidence.

It is designed as an acoustic overlay system which can be applied to masonry separating floors in-situ. It consists of a variety of high quality sound reduction products from Hush Acoustics and Gyproc for complete assurance.

HD1018 is suitable for use in new build, conversion or refurbishment projects based on concrete structures at 400 kg/m2 minimum. It is tested to perform as a complete system and complies with all the appropriate UK Building Regulations - Approved Document E (England & Wales), Part G (Northern Ireland) and Section 5 (Scotland).

Installation process:

  • Lay Hush Panel 28 panels, with all tongue and groove joints glued using Hush Bond and perimeters sealed using Hush Seal 20, over 200mm in situ concrete slab.
  • Install the Hush MF Ceiling to the underside of the masonry construction, ensuring a 150mm void is created from the underside of the beam and block to the back of the plasterboard lining.
  • Fit Hush Slab 100 Sound Absorber within the Hush MF Ceiling System.
  • Install a double layer of 12.5mm Soundbloc Plasterboard to the underside of the Hush MF Ceiling System.

Acoustic Performance *

Impact (L’nT,w) - 45 dB

Airborne (DnT,w) - 62 dB

Airborne (DnT,w + Ctr) - 55 dB

* Results based on the full Hush System HD1018 being used and all flanking noise paths to be treated.
