Michael Laird Architects have been working closely with Scottish Canals for many years on redevelopment of the former Rosebank Distillery Buildings and this include ANTHRA-ZINC rainscreen and standing seam roofing and cladding.

With its ten cinemas and six restaurants, the East Square leisure complex in Basildon in Essex is part of an ambitious master plan to restore the town centre’s appeal by creating daytime and evening entertainment and dining opportunities. Partly inspired by the city’s artistic past, when Basildon was known for its 1960s ceramic murals, the building also evokes the modern edge of digital images. The set of multicoloured hexagonal cassettes designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards’ architects in London evokes the shape of coloured pixels in the digital images projected on the cinema’s screens. This combination of four surface coverings - AZENGAR®, ANTHRA-ZINC®, QUARTZ-ZINC®, GOLD lacquered zinc - and two types of installation - MOZAIK® cassettes and hexagonal shingles - on some 4,000 m2 of facades creates a playful and dynamic effect. A future image is coming into view. The irregularity of the facade’s upper edge is a good illustration of the city’s urban renewal project; it seems to show that the city’s future is still being constructed and rewritten in this very place. 

Driftwood is a 5 bedroom home set in a spectacular location. Yunnie Gillespie Architects have used a number a materials that respect the location. This includes the QUARTZ-ZINC PLUS STRAT standing seam roofs and facades.

Poundbury is a new experimental town in the county of Dorset in England, initiated by Prince Charles approximately thirty years ago. A mixture of Victorian architecture and Baroque villas, the town is a concentrate of architectural styles and colours. The most recent addition is Queen Mother square, which serves as the town centre. This Palladian-inspired square houses the town’s first hotel - the Duchess of Cornwall Inn. VMZINC® created impressive zinc ornaments to decorate this new building

Lampwick Quay provides 213 apartments. The Callison RTKL design uses a number VMZINC systems including standing seam and rainscreen panels in a number of pre-weathered VMZINC finishes

The 2022 Stirling Prize was won by Niall McLaughlin Architects for the Magdalene College Library in Cambridge. The exterior of the building combines glazing, timber, brick and an elegant QUARTZ-ZINC PLUS standing seam roof using the BBA certified Structural roof, which is a warm roof (non vented) system. The roof was installed by a VMZINC@WORK partner, All Metal Roofing thus making a 50 year warranty possible.

The café/restaurant building acts as a focal point for the Felixstowe South Seafront regeneration. The site lies in close proximity to the Martello Tower P, which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade II Listed Building. The roof and walls use QUARTZ-ZINC and PIGMENTO zinc in both standing and Adeka panels

The Space Park at the University of Leicester by Shepheard Epstein Hunter Architects provides a start of the art facility for R&D. AZENGAR (engraved zinc) flat lock shingles have been used extensively on the facade and combine with ANTHRA-ZINC standing seam facade panels.

The buildings are located in a very sensitive part of Woodbridge adjacent to the Grade I listed Tide Mill and in the River Deben Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This sociable housing project located on a backlands site behind terraces of Victorian houses in Beckenham comprises six homes, with coach house and is an exemplar low carbon, flood resistant scheme. As in all sociable housing schemes, private space is combined with valuable shared amenity which contribute to and support community. The project combines a number of products including ANTHRA-ZINC standing seam roofing.
