For us, sustainability means taking action, reducing waste, increasing separate waste collection and improving energy efficiency, while respecting the environment and people, in order to safeguard the future in the most ethical and efficient way possible, generating profit sustainably.

Valsir is a company with deep historical ties to its local area: it is a profound bond that forms part of our corporate culture. For all of us, it would be unthinkable to look towards Valsir’s future without taking it into account.

And because we believe in the enormous opportunities that sustainable development and a responsible economy represent for our business environment, more than 15 years ago we chose to embark on a development path based on this vision. Since then, sustainability—understood in its three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic—has played a fundamental role in the way we do business at Valsir.

We have therefore designed a long-term strategy, involving all stakeholders and identifying progressive objectives for growth and improvement of our performance.

Our Sustainability Report—published every two years and now in its fifth edition—represents an essential opportunity for us to assess our work and to communicate, with the utmost transparency, the challenges encountered along our development path and the actions undertaken to achieve the results we have set ourselves.

The fifth edition of the report was prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and we have already begun to incorporate distinctive elements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
