Birch plywood (Riga Ply) overlaid on one or both faces with a special material or such a material is used as a core to improve mechanical properties or visual appearance of plywood. Further mechanical processing, board and edge sanding and lacquering is available, also manufacturing of furniture elements. RIGA COMPOSITE TPO is overlaid with grey (RAL 7000), thermoplastic, textured polyolefin overlay (density 167 g/m2). Different embossing and colours available upon request. RIGA COMPOSITE PPL is overlaid with a slightly textured polypropylene overlay. For indoor use 0.15 mm and for outdoor use 0.65 mm is recommended. Overlays available in grey (RAL 7045), white (RAL 9016) or black (RAL 9005). RIGA COMPOSITE ALU is constructed with an aluminium surface or core.

Riga Tex is a high wear product composed of birch plywood (Riga Ply) overlaid with a phenol film or with an UV resistant film on both the sides. The wear side has a rough wire mesh pattern (W). The reverse is normally smooth (F), although it can have a wire mesh pattern too (gradeW/W). Riga Tex rough wire mesh overlay withstands hard wear and so can be used for various floor-panelling purposes.
