Sustainability overview
At Radii Planet Group, we recognise and are acting upon our legal and moral responsibility to manage our business operations and reduce any detrimental impact on our planet. We are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship, integrating these principles into every facet of our organisation.
Our mission at Radii Planet Group is to lead by example in the pursuit of a sustainable future. By embedding these values into our core operations and decision-making processes, we aim to inspire others in our industry and beyond to join us in making a positive difference for our planet. Together, we can create a more sustainable world for future generations.
To always ensure environmental best practice in line with our Environmental and Sustainability Policies and in compliance of our ISO14001:2015 accreditation. This commitment covers multiple parts of our operations, including:
- DESIGN: Our systems are designed and drawn in order to minimise wastage. All of our projects are extensively surveyed, CAD detailed and then 3D modelled. This allows great accuracy in our material take off and efficient calibration.
- RESPONSIBLE SOURCING: Aluminium and glass materials are all sourced within the UK and delivered direct to our manufacturing facility, while timber materials come from FSC/PEFC certified suppliers and transported directly to projects.
- PRODUCTION: BTMC tracking and aluminium pre-fabrication prior to site arrival keeps waste to a minimum, while our core materials carry EPDs to aid understanding of carbon impact and environmental performance.
- PACKAGING: We have invested in our site operations allowing us to store, collect and reuse packaging across multiple projects. Where we cannot re-use we recycle, using approved waste specialists who monitor and report back what we send them.
- TRANSPORT: A minimum of FORS silver is required on HGVs delivering to Radii Planet Group sites. Including our factory location and central London logistics hub, our suppliers all operate within a 65-mile radius of central London. We seek to consolidate deliveries on all projects and operate our own fleet of vehicles to reduce transportation mileage and CO2 emissions.
- RE-USE: Our 3D modelling capability can allow redeployment into new locations of previously installed relocatable systems and materials and minimise new material requirements.
- RECYCLING: We source aluminium from suppliers that use >70% recycled content, while glass products can be returned to source with approximately 30% put back into the manufacturing process.
