Due to the more onerous implementation of Part L 2022, the CPD seeks to highlight the designer's obligations in respect of airtightness and the code of practice for the control of moisture in buildings according to BS5250. It will give guidance on best practices concerning the tapes, membranes and sealants used to reduce unplanned air loss and the management of moisture migration through the fabric layers. The CPD is weighted towards structures with framed and sheathed backing walls.
