The Wings, a state-of-the-art office complex in Brussels, welcomes companies and organisations aiming for an eco-friendly and inspiring work environment. The building spans over 50.000 m² across four wings — hence the name — offering premium office spaces, a luxury hotel, a fitness center, restaurants, coworking facilities, a grand atrium, and an auditorium. This ambitious project, located in the vibrant Diegem district, offers facilities designed to minimize ecological impact while enhancing productivity and collaboration. Hunter Douglas Architectural proudly contributed to this exceptional project.... 

For the University of Technology in Budapest, Hungary, Hunter Douglas supplied its Luxalon® 84R and 300L interior ceiling systems. These high-performance aluminium ceiling solutions were chosen for their clean lines, durability, and ability to enhance acoustics and aesthetics within a modern educational environment. The combination of the two profiles delivers a sleek, uniform appearance that complements the university’s forward-thinking architectural design.

Located in Wroclaw, Poland, this project was designed by JSK Architektci Sp.Z.o.o and features Hunter Douglas’ Luxalon® 300L and Luxalon® 300L Ext ceiling systems. The solution combines elegant design with durability, creating a visually striking and high-performance ceiling for the building.

The entrance lobby acquired a distinctive industrial character through the use of Hunter Douglas expanded metal, finished in elegant white. This material became the defining visual feature of the space, perfectly complementing the architectural concept while adding depth and texture. In entrance areas, managing reverberation time is essential to ensure acoustic comfort. While expanded metal alone does not provide acoustic absorption, its perforated structure allows sound waves to pass through the surface. This creates an opportunity to integrate sound-absorbing materials discreetly behind the metal panels, delivering high acoustic performance without compromising the design intent. The project demonstrates how Hunter Douglas expanded metal can combine aesthetic impact with functional performance, offering architects a solution that unites industrial expression with acoustic excellence.
