Hanson plywood has a very carefully considered approach to all matters of environmental, ethical and technical concern which is managed through the company’s dedicated HEAT team. The purpose of HEAT is to ensure that the company provides trusted and valuable resources to our clients in matters and principles which the company regards as at the core of our trading ethos.
- The primary function of our HEAT team is to provide the highest standards of assurance for the business and our customers in all matters environmental, ethical, and technical, both now and into the future.
- The Team manages the company Environmental Management System which is certified to ISO 14001.
- The company has detailed and demanding due diligence processes to assess that all products are compliant according to our HEAT Team stipulations. Our HEAT Team standards are intended to exceed standard industry compliance.
- Our HEAT Team are working with our supply chain to ensure we have a clear, trusted, and proven picture of all products according to our stringent requirements. We are encouraging and supporting our suppliers in producing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
- We are actively engaging with our upstream and downstream supply chains to enable us to give full transparency and confidence in the way we conduct ourselves as a business.
- We are assessing all of our products in order to provide our own HEAT product evaluation according to specific environmental, ethical, and technical credentials.
- Our marketing and HEAT teams are working to raise awareness of our activities through our media platforms including, company websites, social media, company showroom, trade events, etc.
