The project will provide a new world-class facility for Scotland. The 12,500-capacity arena along with conference and exhibition spaces will host major events and music concerts.
The developers were looking for an easy to install edge protection system that would absorb and protect against impact damage on external corners of walls. The Genesis EAS edge protection profiles are easily applied with the self adhesive backing and are suitable for retro fitting to provide a decroative and clean finish as well as covering existing damage to walls so that the wall covering doesn’t have to be replaced.
Atlas House, London

Atlas House, 1, King Street, London has just had Genesis RezTred® anti-slip resin installed on the interior steps.
Bespoke templated stencils had to be carefully created on site to ensure that the RezTred® resin curves matched those of the existing curved steps.
The anti-slip resin serves duel purposes, firstly it provides an R12 level of slip resistance so that the possibility of slipping on the steps has been reduced to a minimum and secondly, the resin blends in beautifully with its surroundings and remains in keeping with the overall look of the building.

The Genesis NTEX range is an Aluminium Nosing with Carborundum filled inserts that make it extremely durable and suitable for all conditions.
The range is available in any array of widths and carborundum infill colours. Its exterior capabilities and anti-slip properties along with the required 222mm width made the NTEX294 a perfect choice of Carluccio’s restaurant and the Contracts team at Multiflor Co Ltd who completed the installation in a busy Central London location.
Champneys Luxury Spa Hotel - Henlow

Refurbishment began at The Champneys Luxury Spa Hotel in Henlow in 2017 with the aim of blending traditions of old with innovations of the new. This was the perfect opportunity for Genesis MHS120.35 Movement Joints to be used in the project. With the choice of any RAL colour available for the insert, getting the perfect match/contrast is simple and combined with their functionality, it was a match truly made for the spa.As work began on the spa, the changing rooms reached completion with sleek marble surfaces, a new locker system and a carefully thought out layout to maximise space.Genesis TDP tile trim profiles have been used throughout the refurbishment project to add the finishing touches around the hotel. With 27 finishes to choose from (one of the largest selections available in the market), the perfect complimentary trim is always in reach.The Champneys Luxury Spa Hotel opted for our Brushed Brass finish TDP trims to perfectly blend traditions of old with innovations of the new.
Coventry Waterpark & Leisure Centre

Construction is underway on a new waterpark and leisure centre in the heart of Coventry City Centre - The Wave.
The new building has been designed by international architects FaulknerBrowns.
The Genesis NTC Heavy Duty Aluminium Tile-In Nosing has been selected by the contractors as it offers a cost effective alternative to ceramic treads. The PVC insert on the tread has been designed to provide additional slip resistance which is ideal for the waterpark. The NTC nosing meets DDA Guidelines and Building regulations.
Flannels, Middlesbrough

Luxury clothing brands retailer, Flannels has just opened a new store in Middlesbrough town centre. By specifying the Genesis rakeback, slimline stair nosing NSL02, means that their stairs will be protected, provide an excellent level of slip resistance and most importantly to the store, will complement the sharp, stylish look of the shop.
A white insert has been used on the top and bottom step in each set of stairs in-order to aid the visually impaired when distinguishing where and when one set ends and another begins.
Fragatta Tower, Colombia

The construction company wanted a strong aluminium profile that provides a simple, safe secure edge for steps covered in ceramic tiles.
The flange sits underneath the tile and the top section protects the riser tile and prevents water ingress into the joint gap. The top section provides a perfect step edge with a grooved profile face for extra grip and has a generous 10-12mm deep front face to highlight the step edge from the bottom of the steps.
Contractors decided Genesis NLM123 would fit perfectly and have since ordered 303 linea meters to be installed in Fragatta Tower, Colombia.
Frasers Tower, Singapore

Development is underway at Frasers Tower, Singapore with many offices being snapped up by major worldwide companies.
Shiseido, the Japanese cosmetics group have taken 50,000 sq ft, Arup engineering and environmental consultancy company have taken 40,000 sq ft, Microsoft have taken 125,000 sq ft and French energy giant, Total have leased over 100,00 sq ft at the Tower in Singapore.
The Genesis stair nosing, NHD24 has been specified to be used on all stair cases within the Total Oil floors. NHD24 is a rakeback nosing that provides excellent slip resistance whilst looking smart and stylish.
Gatwick Airport

When the Gatwick consortium began renovation on the South terminal of Gatwick Airport they needed to ensure that the new floors were protected against movement of the daily traffic that they endure. Genesis provided a solution; working with the architects and installation contractors a cost effective Stainless Steel Movement Joint was selected from the Genesis range. Renovations been part of an £850million investment to see the replacement of floors and ceilings and enhance the experience travellers receive; Genesis movement Joint meets and exceeds all standards of Movement Joints and will save the floors from cracking long into the future.
Gielgud Theatre, London

Genesis has recently installed NRES.16 at the Gielgud Theatre in the prestigious Shaftesbury Avenue in London. The resin has been used for their front box office steps to increase visual awareness and add anti-slip properties to the busy Theatre without distracting from the ornate Victorian design.
The resin blends in perfectly to it’s surroundings and looks like it has been part of the original build.
The steps required templating and bespoke stencils creating to match the curved design of the steps and we are pleased that the Theatre trusted Genesis with the project.
Heathrow Airport

Hollywood Bowl, Teesside

Hollywood Bowl in Teesside required a simple, stylish stair nosing that would prevent customers from slipping when walking between the lanes and the upper area of the interior.
NSL15 with a white insert was used and the results speak for themselves, they look truly stunning!. The NSL Profile is designed to be used in most commercial and industrial applications with a coloured PVC insert.
Hotel Urbano, Bogota

The Hyatt hotel chain set itself the goal of building a new hotel in the vicinity of the Corferias Convention Centre in Bogotá.
One key decisions in the project was the selection of a system for the control of dirt, dust and moisture entering the building, to ensure maximum care of floor coverings.
The Genesis Trakmat® system. With it’s aluminium profiling system with PVC links, which makes it 100% roll-up, would guarantee its easy manoeuvrability and ease of maintenance, as well as maximum softness to the contact of the shoes and a minimum noise emission when passing guests.
International Convention Centre, Wales

The £83m development at ICCW, Celtic Manor Resort, South Wales, a joint venture between the Welsh Government and the Celtic Manor Resort, will provide 26,000sqm of total floor space for meetings, conferences and exhibitions.
The Genesis NSL01 with Ice Grey inserts have been used in conjunction with the blue safety flooring.
NHD05 with Ice Grey inserts have been used throughout all main and side stairwells along with NSA stair edges to complete the look.
The NLT aluminium tile-in step edge profiles have been used throughout the building to add protection to step edges and provide a classic look.

were pleased they kept the work local and went

Pizza Hut, Glasgow

Pizza Hut in Glasgow have specified NSL15.16 to be used on their staircases to add a stylish look to the stairs whilst minimising the risk of slippage.
The NSL15 stair nosing profile is designed to be used in most commercial and industrial applications. It is a straight edged, slimline profile and Pizza Hut have requested a black PVC insert finish.
Residential - South Shields Million Pound Apartment Development

This is a very exciting time for residents of South Shields as the first of its kind is being constructed - a million pound penthouse apartment spanning the entire top floor of the apartment block.Genesis products have been used throughout this project to create stunning finishes.Every bathroom in the executive apartment block features ESA100.94 to create stylish niches and tile edges. The brushed effect surface beautifully compliments the tiling around many of the baths.MHS100.35 movement joints and TDP100.91 have been used to create subtle transitions between doorways where discretion is key and a traditional transition strip is not requested.
Sandman Hotel, Aberdeen

Located in one of Aberdeen’s historic buildings at the heart of the city, Sandman Signature Aberdeen Hotel is Sandman Hotel Group’s first hotel in Scotland and provides bold, luxurious accommodations. The Hotel is situated in the former Robert Gordon University St Andrews Street campus and is a historic building which contributes to the architectural landscape of the city with 218 beautifully appointed guest rooms.
The hotel required long lasting, beautiful to look at, anti-slip stair nosings that would stand the test of time… the contractors specified Genesis NHD08 with an Ice Grey insert – perfect choice!
Scandia, Singapore

Maritime outfitter giants – Scandia have expanded their worldwide footprint into Singapore.
Genesis ASL15 is the perfect accompaniment to this project with its’ energy efficient solution to illuminate steps. Should a local or emergency power failure occur on stairways, increasing the risk of hazard for evacuees, the Aluminator® system allows the evacuee to orientate, locate stair edges and risers, and to assist in the safe evacuation of the premises.
This is a great example of when great things happen- the job was quoted on the Thursday, shipped Friday and installed on the Tuesday!
Sports Direct, Middlesbrough

Retail giants, Sports Direct opened a new store in Middlesbrough town centre and have specified NSL02 stair nosings to be used on all of their interior stairs.
NSL02 is a slimline rakeback profile that is suited for high levels of footfall, combined with the excellent level of slip resistance that these profiles provide, makes the NSL02 the perfect choice of nosing to be used.

St John’s Church, Merthyr Tydfil

After 20 years of being empty & unused, one of Wales’ most historic churches has been brought back into use as residential accommodation.
The Grade II listed St John’s Church has been converted into 20 unique apartments.
NHD05 and NHD17 have been specified and installed within the church.
NHD17 with Dolphin Grey inserts have been used on all the main communal stair wells and feature a yellow insert on the top and bottom steps to help the visually impaired distinguish when a staircase ends and another begins.
Tees Valley Hospital, Teesside

The Tees Valley Hospital located on Church Lane in Acklam, Middlesbrough has used the Genesis NSL26 with a black insert for its staircase leading from the ground floor to the upper. The NSL26 is a slimline rakeback nosing that provides an excellent level of anti slip which is the perfect choice for a health care unit.
The NSA stair edge trims have been used in conjunction with the NSL26 and they finish the staircase off perfectly by providing protection for the step ends whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing.
Vision - Rooftop Terrace, Spain

The owners wanted to add some lighting to the roof top terrace/barbecue area. They searched for a long time to find appropriate lighting but could not find anything suitable until they found Vision skirting.
To enhance the Barbecue area the owners chose the MultiFix system. This allowed them to light exactly where it was needed.
RezTred was installed for its long lasting anti-slip properties and to highlight the edge of each step, therefore, virtually eliminating the risk of a fall on the staircase.
