2-6 Cannon Street is a high-end new build commercial office building located in the City.
This new-build includes an unusual shaped roof which has been designed to create a stunning exterior roof terrace. Buzon UK were commissioned to supply and install the DPH pedestal system to support GRAD decking and rail systems.
This was a challenging project as steel planters were located in the middle of the roof terrace so the installation of the adjustable support pedestals had to be carried out around the planters. Timber decked steps and ramps were also part of the terrace design.
33 King William Street

The development of 33 King William Street provides 227,000 sq ft of stunning office space and a quarter acre roof top garden.
Buzon UK were specified to install the Buzon pedestal system to support Iroko timber decking and a large area of paving to the spacious roof terrace creating a fantastic relaxation space for the office occupants to enjoy.
Buzon pedestals are seriously strong, simple to install and are capable of supporting loads of more than 1000kg per pedestal so were the perfect choice of raised floor support system for this complex exterior terrace of contrasting materials.
BAFTA Headquarters, London

Battersea Power Station, London

Battersea Power Station is one of London’s most iconic buildings and remains one of the city’s best known landmarks.
A vibrant new community is being created offering the best retail, office, leisure and green space plus unique homes designed by internationally renowned architects, Foster + Partners and Gehry Partners.
Working with Maylim, the Buzon pedestal systems have been specified for a multitude of areas across this 39-acre site, for use with timber decking, planter units, seating units, paving and grating.
This project is still ongoing and Buzon UK are excited to be involved in such a large redevelopment.
Battersea Reach

Battersea Reach, an award-winning development consists of 1,350 apartments spread over 14 separate buildings surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens, shops and cafes.
Buzon UK supplied and installed the DPH pedestal range for the composite decking and paving to many of the terraces and balconies across the 14 separate apartment buildings.
The DPH pedestal system is perfect for use at roof level as they allow for 5% slope correction and can accommodate a range of services beneath floor level as well as giving excellent drainage.
Chelsea Football Club

Buzon UK were commissioned directly by Chelsea Football Club to supply and install the DPH pedestal system to support over 430sqm of EBEMA concrete paving (supplied by Alfresco Floors) to a newly refurbished pitch-side terrace at Stamford Bridge.
The terrace areas behind the pitch-perimeter was built up to 200mm to create a raised terrace specially designed for wheelchair users.
Buzon pedestals are adjustable from 11 to 1120mm and thanks to their intrinsic strength and reinforced structure are recommended for use with heavier floor coverings such as large format concrete pavers and high live loads.
Crystal Palace Football Ground Fan Zone

Crystal Palace Football Club play at the legendary Selhurst Park Stadium, based in London.
Crystal Palace Football Club has created a brand new 900m² `Fan Zone` which is divided into various settings, including stages, a huge LCD screen, dining areas, shops and a football skills exhibition space.
Buzon UK were specified to supply the components to achieve the high live load requirements, which included voids of up to 500mm.
The DPH Pedestal system was used, along with the Alfresco Floors Ebema range of high impact concrete pavers.
Other areas on pedestals include artificial turf lawns, stages, walkways and ramps.
ExCel Exhibition Centre & Aloft Hotel, London

ExCeL is the largest permanent exhibition site in London that links up with the Aloft Hotel.
The overall terrace area exceeds 2,100m², all on one level.
Below the terrace are the car parks, with countless drain access points that require maintenance annually. The terrace required pedestals to accommodate a void of +/- 220mm, with circular adjustable spacer tabs to accept odd shaped pavers alongside linear pavers, however large enough to allow drainage for extreme weather conditions.
The Buzon DPH series, with special rotating spacer tabs were used to achieve this. The total pedestals required exceeded 25,000 units.
Gasholders, King's Cross, London

The Gasholders’ – 149 distinctive canalside apartments and penthouses, built within a refurbished triplet of Grade II listed, cast iron gas-holder guide frames at the heart of King’s Cross, London.
Our work on the project included the 149 private balconies, with 14 permutations, all with views across the capital.
Variable in size from 7 – 15m², each balcony is curved with odd shaped sides, requiring a solution to accommodate and support the 20mm external porcelain paving.
The Buzon DPH pedestal system solved this, not only accommodating the variable heights and slopes, but also the odd shaped pavers and curves.
Google HQ King's Cross

The current Google HQ, with vast external floor space over several levels.
The decking is a bespoke solid section 230 x 30mm composite, commissioned for this site.
All fixings are hidden, giving a seamless look to the terraces, and clean lines. The main terrace areas are level and by using the DPH slope correction system, the wheelchair access ramps were easily achieved.
A clever feature; the BM Unit travels over the decking, hiding the steel rails below.
This enlarges the overall usable terrace space considerably, and gives uninterrupted views from the entire terrace.
Home House, London

Home House is an award winning private members club, located in Portman Square, London and provides outstanding facilities for its members.
Buzon UK were commissioned to install over 220sqm of Buzon BC pedestal to support the new Ecodek Heritage composite deck boards to create a large decked terrace area within the club’s private garden.
Home House were looking for a durable, minimal-maintenance, anti-slip deck with superior safety qualities without compromising on aesthetics for this glamorous outdoor space. The carefully selected BC pedestal system and Ecodek composite deck boards delivered all this and more.

Nile Street - London

Buzon UK were commissioned alongside The Outdoor Deck Company to refurbish the external terraces of several top floor apartments located on Nile Street, moments from Old Street, London.
The brand new GRAD invisible fixing clip system was supplied and installed by the Outdoor Deck Company, their first ever GRAD installation in the UK.
Buzon UK supplied and installed PB pedestals, which were placed under each rail to support the GRAD ThermoAsh deck boards.
The GRAD system can either be fitted onto conventional timber joists, or mounted onto the bespoke support rail system.
Novotel London West

Novotel London West is located in the centre of Hammersmith.
The scope of works undertaken by Buzon UK included the supply and installation of the DPH support pedestal system. The DPH system offers uninterrupted adjustability and support loads in excess of 1000kg per pedestal - perfect for high traffic areas.
On this project the pedestals support 800sqm of porcelain pavers providing absolute stability and a perfectly flat finish on an uneven roof base area. The Buzon ALUrail system was also installed in certain sections of the project where the positioning of small tile cuts and ramped areas were required.
One Hyde Park, London

One Hyde Park is a major residential and retail complex located in Knightsbridge, London. The development includes three retail units totaling 35,800 m2 and 86 residential properties with prices starting at around £20 million.
Buzon UK installed 28,000 DPH pedestals to support Ipe timber decking to all roofs across all four buildings.
The project was a success and Buzon UK were proud to be involved in installing their first-class products to one of London’s most prestigious developments.
One Tower Bridge, London

One Tower Bridge is a mixed-use development by Berkeley Homes. A total of nine blocks make up the development, containing 396 residential units, commercial and cultural spaces, a single storey basement area and a 20 storey residential tower block with roof top area.
Buzon UK were commissioned by Maylim to supply DPH5 and BC5 adjustable pedestals, which were used across the entire project to support numerous decking areas, fencing, step and riser units and a wide range of bespoke seating.
The random shaped pavers required a complex spacer tab layout, achieved effortlessly with the unique BC System.
Queen Victoria Street, London

The new corporate headquarters for Mellon Bank comprises offices and a trading floor, and is located on the site of the former Times Newspaper Headquarters in Queen Victoria Street. The site falls within one of the designated Strategic View Corridors, intended to protect long distance views of St Paul's Cathedral and the roof terrace provides the perfect place for employees to meet, relax and enjoy the great views.Buzon were specified to supply and install 20mm external porcelain tiles on BC-FR class B fire-rated adjustable pedestals on the roof terrace and access stairwell, along with fire-rated spacer tabs and shims.
Royal Opera House

On the fourth floor of the Royal Opera House is a decking area of around 600sqm.
Originally a rest area for staff at the Royal Opera House, the decking area was to be re-purposed as part restaurant, part relaxation area, part meeting space and part open air dance training studio.
Buzon UK were commissioned to supply and install the DPH pedestal system to support the GRAD decking system supplied by Alfresco Floors.
The finished deck is part of a major transformation of the Royal Opera House by Stanton Williams and has been open to the public from September 2018.
Selfridges, London

Selfridges is one the UK’s most famous high-end department stores founded in 1908. It’s Grade II listed flagship store is located on London’s Oxford Street.
Buzon UK were commissioned to supply and install over 200sqm of the Buzon ALUrail and pedestal system to the newly renovated roof terrace area.
The ALUrail installation system offers a complete structure for the raised installation of outdoor spaces. The system can be used for various substrates, 20mm porcelain, concrete and natural stone pavers. Practical and functional, the ALUrail system can be used where the void is limited.
Star & Garter Phase 2

The meticulous refurbishment of this Grade II Listed landmark provides a stunning range of luxuriously specified apartments.
Buzon UK were specified to install the PB pedestal system to support two large (220sqm and 180sqm) hardwood decked outdoor terrace areas. This project was particularly challenging due to the many curved planters, upstands, steps and seating areas but the PB pedestal range can be adjusted from 28 to 965mm to create different height levels and the ergonomic design makes it easy for accurate and effective installation.
The finished private roof terraces provide residents with the perfect outdoor space.
Station Square Parade, Colchester

Station Square Parade, located next to Colchester North Station is undergoing a substantial conversion from a large office building to 67 one and two bedroom apartments set around a terraced courtyard.
Buzon UK have been commissioned to supply and install the DPH pedestal system to support 20mm Rucker Rowe porcelain paving to create an external courtyard and private balconies for many of the apartments.
The DPH pedestal system offers excellent water control for raised external floors as the system allows for simple, fast removal of rainwater via access cavity and is fully adjustable from 17 to 1070mm.
The Londoner Hotel, London

Buzon were contracted to install 20mm external porcelain using a combination of Buzon DPH and PB pedestals, and their associated accessories, along with ALUrail, on the hotel's central atrium, with a 2nd floor courtyard, and a floating terrace and balcony 6 floors above.A combination of 2mm and 3mm spacer tabs were used to ensure even spaces between the different tile formats and maintain the complex pattern used in the courtyard.If the geometric design of the tiles wasn't challenge enough, the courtyard has sloping skylights around the edge; these were seamlessly incorporated in to the level central floor by the creation of ramps using ALUrail in conjunction with the integrated slope correction (and creation) functionality of DPH pedestals.The end result is truly stunning!
The Shard, London

Standing at almost 310 metres, the viewing platform at the Shard is a `must-visit` for Londoners and indeed tourists, offering breath taking views across London and beyond.
The architect required a support system that delivered perfect levelling for this iconic site, and the obvious choice was the Buzon DPH pedestal system. The end result was a millimetre perfect installation, laid onto falling insulation.
The second criteria was the ability to support high live loads due to the heavy foot traffic, and with the DPH offering in excess of two tons per pedestal…the problem was solved.
TJX Headquarters, Watford

White City Place, London

Sitting opposite the former BBC Television Centre and adjacent to Westfield Shopping Centre, this exciting new development includes 10.4 acres of open space in the form of a new public park for White City, 1500 new homes including affordable housing and commercial premises.
Buzon UK were specified to install the Buzon DPH pedestal system under a large area of timber tiered seating, creating the perfect space for the local community to enjoy.
Buzon pedestals were also used in the construction of various external stage decks, bench seating and large terraces within the commercial area of the development.
