The specialist nature of this insulated shutter combines fire resistance with high levels of sound reduction.
With a 25.2dB rating (at 2000Hz) and 22dB RW, this fire shutter system is often the preferred choice for exhibition halls and other applications such as school canteens.
Additionally, when combined into a double curtain arrangement, the acoustic rating is increased to a maximum of 39-1dB (at 2000Hz) and 32dB RW which is exceptional for a shutter of this kind.

The Sonaroll is Bolton Gate Company’s purpose built acoustically rated rolling shutter.
This sound reducing door system combines several features and benefits into one high quality attractive design.
In addition to acting as a secure and weather resistant closure, the shutter offers significant acoustic and also thermal insulation properties.
Extensively tested at the Department of Acoustics at Salford University, the door achieved a maximum sound reduction of 27.2dB (at 5000Hz) with a 22dB RW, which is considerably higher than other similar roller shutters on the market.
A special double curtain arrangement is also available. This provides significantly increased acoustic performance with a maximum of 39.8dB (at 2000Hz) and 33dB RW rating.

Thermafold 1000 - Bifold Doors

Bolton Gate’s Thermafold 1000 insulated folding door combines energy saving qualities with a high aesthetic appearance. It is designed for use in openings up to 6000mm wide and 6000mm high and is particularly suitable for applications where a bottom track needs to be avoided such as railway depots.
