Market Gate Bridge is a striking pedestrian footbridge located in the heart of Barnsley town centre, South Yorkshire, UK. Part of Barnsley’s wider regeneration initiative and a key pedestrian thoroughfare, the bridge was designed as a prominent civic landmark. A largely glass structure was chosen to complement the nearby Glass Works shopping complex. A 3kN frameless glass balustrade system, supplied by BM Architectural, plays a crucial role in achieving the bridge's elegant aesthetic. 

BM Architectural supplied the sleek, fire-safe, aluminium railings installed at the edges of all balconies and terraces on the ‘New Vic’ apartments in Manchester, UK.This luxury high-rise development comprises 520 new homes set across two towers, standing 20 and 25 storeys high. Given the project's scale and constrained city-centre location, the balustrade solution needed to be lightweight and easy to install, in addition to being fully compliant with edge protection and fire safety regulations, and contribute to the bold architectural design. This project demanded barriers that combine safety compliance, a sleek, modern look and an uninterrupted view.A frameless glass balustrade was selected to complement the elegant interior design of the suites and the high-end outdoor paving, furniture, and lighting on the terraces.The glass balustrade enables guests of the penthouse suites to safely enjoy unobstructed views from the luxury of their surroundings, with some suites looking out over nearby Green Park.
