Incorporating an asymmetrical curtain wall design the Aluprof MB-TT50 curtain wall system provides the design aesthetic and performance required to meet the architectural intent with Aluprof MB-59S windows to the side and rear elevations.

The new 2,500m2 research facility for the University of Nottingham provides laboratory, office and support accommodation for the UK Government Energy Acceleration Research Initiative alongside the university. Using Passiv Haus certified Aluprof MB-TT50 curtain walling and MB-104 Passive windows and door systems, the building achieved Passiv Haus accreditation. Covering 33,000 sq m of floor space the new development connects employees from over seventy two different nationalities. The building comprises of 3 sections, varying in height with retail space on the ground floor and student accommodation from the 1st to 10th floor being operated by Unite Students, which runs student accommodation sites across the UK. The project utilises Aluprof MB-SR50N capped curtain walling and inward opening vents with an external mesh to prevent objects from being release at high level from inside the building.
