Sustainability overview
Our strategy for a sustainable future
Aliva UK is committed to the sustainability agenda, to minimising impact on the planet from our business operations and to actively contributing to the UK’s 2050 carbon emission goals.
As an eco-conscious business committed to the Net Zero Carbon agenda, we have prioritised and adopted six of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Those goals associated with the climate and built environment, as a reflection of our business functions and operations alongside our environmental citizenship of the planet.
Responsible portfolio management
We will prioritise investment in materials that support the decarbonisation of energy usage as well as help source low carbon products needed in everyday life. We will also seek to re-use and minimise energy use where possible throughout the production process.
Responsible product use
A low-carbon future requires responsibly produced low-carbon materials. We will seek opportunities to increase the proportion of green materials we can supply to customers from our operations.
We will participate in global efforts to improve abatement technologies and availability, as well as resource use efficiency by contributing to the circular economy.
Responsible production and supply
Our core values are embedded in everything we do. We are committed to operating
ethically, responsibly, and to contributing to socioeconomic development in the countries where we operate.
We will continue to focus on reducing the carbon footprint of our operations and will
allocate financial returns towards fulfilment of our business strategy.
Our commitment is delivered through our operational excellence, health and safety and ethics and compliance programmes, advancing our environmental performance, respecting human rights and by developing, maintaining and strengthening our relationships with all of our stakeholders.
