At AKW, sustainability is embedded within our business strategy and daily operations. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact, maintaining high ethical standards across our supply chain, and driving continuous improvement through recognised certifications and measurable targets.
AKW has achieved an EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing us in the top 5% of companies globally and top 2% within our industry. DLP Limited, a key supplier within the Group, holds a Platinum EcoVadis Medal, ranking in the top 1% worldwide, and is also a verified member of Sedex.
We have committed to reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% and Scope 3 emissions by 75% by 2040 (2021 baseline). Our strategy includes transitioning to renewable energy, investing in EPDs, improving freight efficiency, strengthening supplier engagement, and maintaining a strong focus on waste reduction, product longevity and responsible procurement.
