A gutter joint repair system using Seamsil sealant and base coat.

System components and installation application:

Sharman's Barrier Primer: Bitumen and other volatile materials must be removed. Any remaining residue must be primed with Sharman's Barrier Primer.
Seamsil sealant (at overlaps): Seamsil® Sealant is gun-applied into the joint of the gutter and around the base of the bolts/fixings forming a complete bridged seal.
Seamsil base and top coats: Whilst the Seamsil® Sealant is still wet, apply Seamsil® Base Coat by brush at a minimum wet film thickness of 220 microns. Allow to cure to a tack free state. Seamsil® Base Coat should be applied at least 25 mm either side of the gutter joint, ensuring complete coverage of the joint and bolts/fixings.
