The Ravensbourne School is a secondary academy located in the London Borough of Bromley. Set across 22 acres, the campus features a blend of historic and modern architecture, including several Grade II listed buildings dating back to 1911. Over the years, the school has expanded to include contemporary facilities such as a dedicated Sixth Form block, sports and fitness amenities, two libraries, and a fully equipped TV studio.

As part of their ongoing commitment to enhancing learning spaces, Ravensbourne School sought to refurbish an outdated computer room and transform it into a functional new lecture room.

Solution

When the school approached us, their initial vision was to install a retractable seating unit that would accommodate 90 pupils. After assessing the room dimensions, we advised that a retractable system would not achieve the desired capacity within the available space.

To meet their requirements, our design team proposed a custom fixed tiered seating solution. Using our S200 LTF seats, we created a configuration that delivered the full seating capacity needed while maximising comfort, sightlines and efficient use of the room. The result is a purpose-built lecture environment tailored perfectly to the school’s needs.
