Overview
The Science Museum in London, is the 6th most visited museum in the capital. In 1931, it was the first London based museum to open a gallery aimed at children. The Science Museum is home to one of the oldest clocks in the world, dating back to the 14th century. They also house the largest medical gallery in the world, over 300,000 objects to explore and they welcome over 3.3 million guests a year.
CAT flooring trims were installed recently into the £24m refurbishment of the “Welcome Galleries” within the Science Museum. The installation consists of over 47,000 individual pieces of new timber flooring making up over 3,000m2 installed overall!
You will notice our Brass Timberline profiles, used to create a visual zoned area around many of the interesting medical displays, walkways and borders.
CAT Timberline profiles for timber floors are available in different heights to suit various wood flooring and installation requirements, in brass, aluminium & stainless steel finishes.
Our technical team worked alongside all stakeholders to provide the correct profile and visual detail to add that finishing touch to an overall excellent award-winning installation.
