IFP Plastering Ltd, as the appointed plastering contractor, applied the LIDL External Render System using a machine application method. Externally, bauprotec FLP Plus, a lightweight render, was applied to Poroton S8 blocks. For key coat application onto mass concrete and insulated plinths, bauprotec RHS Multi-Purpose Render was utilised.

Internally, the LIDL Internal Render System was implemented with bauprotec 850M applied to Poroton T10 blocks, and bauprotec FLP Plus applied to Poroton S8 blocks.

“The new concept store in Newcastle is the latest in the retailer’s £150 million investment plan for upgrading and expanding its store network in Northern Ireland. The store, located at Shan Slieve Drive and Bryansford Road at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, opened its doors on Thursday, June 19, relocating from its existing position at Railway Street in the town centre, which has served the local community since 2001. Occupying a site of 12,236 square metres with sales floor space of 1,338 square metres.” (Belfast Live 30 Apr 2025)
