Great Portland Street - Side Mounted Rooftop ASF Stowe Post and Rail

ASF were approached to manufacture and supply our Stowe pattern post and rail for a roof garden project on Great Portland Street in London.

This meant a number of the posts had to be adapted to have a side mounted baseplate which would then fix directly to the steelworks of the building. A new pattern was created that hosted a very heavy duty baseplate.

As standard and manufactured in our 100% recycled grade 250 Cast iron, ASF posts in isolation will meet and exceed the 3kN loading requirement (the highest requirement for any standard railing product), but we made these ones in SG420/12 ductile iron for even more strength.

The posts were supplied with stainless steel rails that were pre bent and supplied so they could be easily fixed on site using internal connectors
