External seating for student courtyard in Birmingham

OVERVIEW

Host Student Apartments is a new development close to the University of Birmingham main campus. The development has a modest street frontage, bounded to both sides by commercial buildings on the busy Bristol Road, but the entrance opens up to two expansive internal courtyards and gardens. These outdoor areas comprise planted boundaries and small mown lawns. Furnitubes supplied two sets of products to the scheme – the heavy-duty Fordham seating and tables adjacent to the built-in barbeque and Lapa wall-top seating – all designed to encourage students to make maximum use of the outdoor spaces.
