Bradford Library Steps, Retrofixed Glass Balustrade

OVERVIEW

ASF were asked to produce handrailing and glass balustrade for a facelift project at the site of the re-purposed Bradford library.

3 main products were selected:

  1. The ever popular ASF 5006 handrailing for the steps - supplied as central double rails and single rail at the wall side
  2. ASF Max Channel, 3kn Frameless Glass Balustrade hosted between granite piers on the walkway
  3. The ASF Adaptions, Stud Mounted Glass Balustrade that finished off the barrier section of the public terrace when approached from the top, and complimented the step units when viewed from below.

The finished effect of the Adaptions balustrade on this project celebrated 2 of this system's key benefits. From the top it brought the viewing platform barrier to a full 1100mm whilst not interrupting the view across the city and from below offers a visually impressive architectural feature.
