OVERVIEW

Series 1 platform was installed to accommodate both acoustic and weatherproofing requirements for rooftop mechanical equipment. Despite the challenges posed by a highly congested site, the entire platform was assembled in just two days using a materials hoist to lift components to the roof, avoiding the need for a crane and eliminating the disruption of a road closure. The result was a fast, efficient, and compliant installation tailored to the complex requirements of the project.

Installation

This complete structure was fully assembled in 2 days. Due to heavy congestion and limited access around the building, traditional lifting methods such as crane access were not feasible without incurring costly road closures. To overcome this, all materials were transported to the rooftop via a materials hoist, which allowed for uninterrupted site operations and minimized disruption to surrounding areas. The freestanding nature of the Series 1 Platform eliminated the need for heavy structural works or roof penetrations, allowing for a fast, clean, and safe setup.

Design

The platform incorporated Peacemaker acoustic screens to provide effective noise attenuation while allowing essential airflow for air conditioning condensers, ensuring they operated efficiently without exceeding noise limits. Simultaneously, a watertight enclosure was achieved using standard screens installed with no gaps, paired with a roof over the enclosed section to protect other sensitive equipment from weather exposure. This integrated solution provided both ventilation and environmental protection within a single cohesive structure.
