OVERVIEW
The Challenge
Caring for a growing disabled child like William presents mounting physical and logistical demands. Early on, his mother could manage without equipment, but as William became taller and heavier, manual transfers became impractical and unsafe. His mobility was highly restricted on land, often resulting in discomfort and pain. Public leisure centres lacked appropriate facilities, leaving his family with no viable external options for therapeutic support. They needed a fully accessible, calming space where William could move freely, safely, and with dignity—ideally without leaving home.
Approach
Innova partnered with William’s family from day one to understand his unique needs and deliver a solution grounded in empathy, innovation, and clinical expertise. A decommissioned building on their property offered the perfect canvas for creating a bespoke hydrotherapy environment. Innova’s representative worked closely with the family and therapists to identify the best-fit products—prioritising ease of use, comfort, and safety.
The approach centred on enabling William to enjoy therapy without logistical strain, using a suite of equipment tailored to reduce transfers, enhance movement, and restore family connection through shared experiences.
Implementation

The holistic setup drastically reduced manual handling and transformed a corner of the property into a haven of healing and freedom.
