OVERVIEW
Set in a remote Highland location, Beinglas Campsite welcomes a steady flow of walkers and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the year.
From early starts to late arrivals, the washroom facilities see heavy use in all conditions.
Ensuring they remained reliable, clean and easy to maintain became a key priority for the site team.
A Busy Site with a Demanding Environment
With guests arriving from long days on the hills, muddy boots, wet weather and heavy seasonal footfall are simply part of everyday life at Beinglas.
By 2025, the campsite team recognised it was time to upgrade their washroom cubicles.
The brief was clear.
These spaces needed to:
Cope with heavy, daily use
Perform reliably in wet, humid conditions
Be easy to clean and maintain
Look smart and well cared for
Comfort was important but durability was essential.
Finding the Right Fit
Unlike hotels or office buildings, campsite washrooms face very different challenges.
High turnover.
Outdoor conditions.
Peak-season pressure.
Off-the-shelf solutions weren’t enough.
What Beinglas needed was a robust, long-lasting cubicle system designed specifically for high-traffic environments.
One that would quietly do its job, day after day.
A Practical, Custom-Built Solution
Working closely with the Beinglas team, a ASPIRE cubicles and vanity system was specified using proven, high-performance materials.
Key elements included:
13mm Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) partitions and pilasters in Lagoon
SGL cubicle doors and vanity access panels in Fjord
Coordinated vanity detailing
Durable nickel ironmongery
Each component was chosen for one reason: long-term performance in a demanding setting.
Moisture resistance.
Impact resistance.
Ease of cleaning.
Longevity.
No unnecessary complexity. Just well-designed, robust systems.
On Site | Careful Planning in a Remote Location
Beinglas’ rural setting brings its own challenges.
Access to the site involves crossing a narrow bridge at the main entrance, which only supports vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. Larger deliveries therefore, required an alternative route via the rear entrance.
To ensure smooth logistics
Delivery routes were carefully planned in advance
Alternative access information was issued with the order
Loads were scheduled to avoid unsuitable vehicles
Materials were delivered safely without disruption to guests
This preparation allowed the installation team to work efficiently, despite the site’s restricted access.
This was heritage-friendly engineering at its best blending subtle design with robust performance.
A Result That Works, Season After Season
Once complete, the difference was immediate.
The new washrooms felt
Solid
Clean
Modern
Well-maintained
More importantly, they were built to last.
With materials designed for heavy use and wet environments, the facilities continue to perform through peak seasons without constant repair or replacement.
For both guests and staff, that reliability makes a real difference.
