OVERVIEW
The present building that opened in 1812 is the most recent of four theatres that stood at Drury Lane since 1663, making it the oldest theatre site in London still in use. The Grade 1 listed Georgian interiors were all renovated in 2021, inspired by the building’s rich history. Over a million people visit the Theatre every year, so the washrooms have to both look beautiful and stand up to heavy use.
