Application

For use in 100 mm wide walls and partitions in plastered or rendered situations. Also suitable for use below ground.

Description

The Hi-Spec R9 Lintel features a 100 x 215 mm section, and is available in lengths of 900 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm, 1800 mm, 2100 mm, 2400 mm, 2700 mm, 3000 mm, 3300 mm, and 3600 mm. At this section width, the R9 Prestressed Concrete Lintel comes with a 30-minute fire rating as standard.

Product certifications:

All Hi-Spec Concrete Lintels comply with the following standards:

  • BS EN 1992-1-2:2004 – Classification of fires.
  • BS EN 845: Part 2:2013 + A1:2016 – Specification for ancillary components.
  • BS EN 206:2013 + A2:2021 – Concrete specification performance, production, and conformity.
  • BS 8500-1:2015 – Complementary to BS EN 206.
  • Prestressed wire complies with BS 5896:2012 – High tensile steel wire and strand for the prestressing of concrete.

Hi-Spec Lintels Range:

This range of lintels is designed for use in plastered and rendered situations, delivering high performance while remaining cost-effective.

Hi-Spec Lintels are prestressed to ensure optimum performance, and all section sizes and lengths in this range come with a 30-minute fire rating as standard. Plus, due to the use of additives and resulting concrete strength, these units are also suitable for use below-ground.

Hi-Spec concrete lintels can be fixed into on-site, provided the prestressing tendons contained within the units remain undamaged. They can also be cut to length without adversely affecting product performance. For specific requirements or queries on this, contact Naylor Concrete's Technical team for guidance.

Pre-stressed concrete lintels ensure optimum performance and have a high span-to-depth ratio, which results in lighter units. Each Hi-Spec lintel is marked at the 'top' to ensure correct orientation during installation.

The Hi-Spec range is available in 14 different section sizes, in widths of 100 mm, 140 mm, 190 mm, and 215 mm, with lengths ranging from 900 mm to 3600 mm as standard, plus longer lengths of up to 4800 mm available on request for specific section sizes.
