High-performance mineral fibre external wall insulation (EWI) system comprising of non-combustible Euroclass A1 insulation, reinforced base coat and Permarock Silicone^Ultra K-Finish. The system achieves Euroclass A2-s1,d0 (EN 13501-1).

Permarock Mineral Fibre external wall insulation (EWI) systems are fire-safe, high-performance thermal insulation systems suitable for application to any building including relevant buildings as defined in the Building Regulations. Systems are suitable for use at any height and in proximity to any boundary.

Permarock mineral fibre (EWI) systems can be applied onto walls of dense or no-fines concrete, brickwork, blockwork, or suitably sheathed light steel frame or timber frame construction, in any geographical location including those classified as having very severe exposure to wind-driven rain.

Permarock Silicone^Ultra K Finish is a high-performance exterior through-colour textured render based on a hybrid binder system of organically crosslinked nano-quartz particles and silicone emulsion. It is a lightweight, water-repellent finish with excellent water vapour permeability and incorporates photo-catalytic particles which actively break down dirt particles enabling them to be washed from the surface under normal weathering. Permarock Silicone^Ultra K-Finish resists aggressive air-borne pollutants and provides enhanced resistance to dirt pick-up and contains a preservative against coating deterioration due to algae and fungus.

Acoustic benefit over other insulant types.
Has a working design life of in excess of 30 years.

Design considerations:

U-value calculations can be carried out for each project to determine the thickness of insulation required to achieve particular thermal performance requirements.
For high-rise buildings, a wind load assessment should be carried out by a suitably qualified structural engineer and the results should be provided to Permarock to enable an optimised fixing arrangement to be provided.
