Promatect®-XS is a light weight board, which provides a high degree of strength and dimensional stability, offers a solution for mezzanine floors, and is suitable for internal areas. It is classified as A1 non-combustible according to BS EN 13501-1.

PROMATECT®-XS has a smooth surface and is off-white in appearance, it can be left undecorated or easily finished with paint.

PROMATECT®-XS features and benefits:

60 minutes fire resistance, loadbearing capacity, integrity and insulation.
Single layer product used, fixed directly to the underside of the primary and secondary floor structure.
Board can be also used to fire protect the supporting steel beams and columns.

The supporting steel framework of the mezzanine floor, including the columns, should be protected for a period equal to or greater than that required for the mezzanine floor. Typically, 15 mm-thick Promat PROMATECT®-XS boards will provide 60 minutes' fire resistance, based on a limiting steel temperature of 550⁰C and a maximum steel section factor up to 200 m^-1.
