Harlequin Activity is a fully floating sprung floor system using Harlequin’s proprietary ‘triple sandwich’ construction method. The layers provide consistent shock dampening across the floor and offer the same feel and energy return

to one or several dancers. There are no fixings to the walls or subfloor and it is suitable for all genres of dance.

The system can be adapted to withstand heavy loading including retractable seating. Harlequin Activity has been tested for impact sound reduction with a variety of different Harlequin surfaces, according to BS EN ISO 140-8. Results ranged from 22–24 dB.

Harlequin vinyl surface - for all types of performance, but particularly dance.
Warranty for reasonable wear and tear covers 10 years.
Area elasticity providing 'give' or flexion over the section where a performer lands.
Point elasticity offering compression at the point of contact.
Not suitable with underfloor heating.

Vertical deformation: 4.9 mm.
Area deflection: 7.2%.
Rolling load: >1500 N.
Theatre Stage Concentrated Load: 3.6 kN/m² (367 kg/m²).
Theatre Stage Blanket Load: 5.0 kN/m² (509 kg/m²).

Top surface: Chosen vinyl performance surface, e.g. Harlequin Cascade.
Top panel: moisture resistant semi flexible board.
Lower panel: moisture resistant semi flexible board.
Cellular layer: cellular polyurethane.
Damp proof membrane: PE membrane.
Overall thickness: 46 mm without vinyl top surface.
