Bostik has supplied a host of subfloor preparation and flooring adhesive products for use on the refurbishment of the Arts & Design Building at the University of Suffolk. The products, combined with Bostik’s expert advice, enabled a faultless installation of the new floor coverings in the building.Ipswich-based Top Floors was appointed by main contractor RG Carter to strip out the two-storey centre’s rubber stud tiles, which were installed when it was built in the early 1990s, and replace them with 700m² Altro Walkway vinyl and 500m2 of Burmatex Tivoli carpet tiles as well as new nosings for the staircases.To ensure that the subfloors were prepared correctly, and that the new floor coverings were bonded as effectively and efficiently as possible, Top Floors approached Bostik for its specialist guidance and market-leading products.

The Stage is a prestigious, high-rise, mixed-use development in the bustling heart of Shoreditch on the site where the Curtain Theatre stood between 1577 and 1624. Considered to be one of the longest-standing Shakespearean playhouses, the historical remains will form the backdrop of a magnificent collection of residential, commercial and entertainment space, along with public parks, bars and restaurants.Galliard Homes are delivering the scheme and have appointed CJ O’Shea as the main contractor.They selected a black colour palette for the bathrooms which demanded a bold, contemporary design. Towelrads worked to the exact specification requirements supplying the Kensington model with a bold, square bar design in black finish.The radiators have been installed as electric-only towel warmers with SMART thermostatic heating elements in matching black controls, which enables temperature adjustment and a boosted power mode.

Compromising of a mix of private and shared ownership apartments and modern office space, Angel Wharf is situated around a landscaped courtyard in Islington’s regeneration area.Our VitraDual panels were the chosen cladding product to be installed by the main contractor OCL Facades Ltd.We provided the BBA Approved, CWCT tested and A1 Rated VitraDual panels in Red Elm, which beautifully mimics planking, as well as our Riddle Grey VitraDual panels to provide a tidy finish.Our VitraFix Cladding Subframe System was also used to securely hold the cladding to the building.It was fantastic to be part of this project and see our panels and subframe system contribute to the final look and aesthetics of the building.

In partnership with Axis Architecture, we supported the creation of a new space for a financial services firm in Grosvenor House in Solihull.Designers, Axis Architecture/ Installation Contractors,John Atkinson Interiors Axis Architecture designed this clever break out area which used the Freestyle as bespoke cut baffles in on the ceiling and The 3D Wave and Tetris in the meeting rooms.The brief was to create a brand new high specification dining and refreshment area sitting within the buildings canteen area in order to create the right ambience, vibrancy and atmosphere Soundtect were chosen for their innovative acoustic paneling. Soundtect acoustic panels were chosen effectively control sound break out as well as add vibrancy to the space by co-ordinating with the rest of the fit out and client branding.

Chip Board Overlay was installed on the upper floor, giving a robust, high density monolithic floor with a remarkably shallow profile.The demands of the ground floor were a little more specialised. Soundis advised the main contractor, Key Property Solutions Limited, that a combination of 115mm thick XPS Insulation, together with a layer of chipboard together with a layer of chipboard would exceed the tight acoustic and heat insulation specification.

Dublin’s National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) is the only facility that provides specialist, accredited in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation in the Republic of Ireland. Its re-development centred around an extension to the original 20th Century hospital that would enhance the patient's experience.  The new building includes four different façade designs, each with their own aesthetic and practical goals. Patient wards are organised around two large and two smaller courtyards which, along with the varied façade characteristics, provide orientation for patients navigating the hospital.Schüco products were specified for the façade with Alucraft as the specialist contractor and O’Connell Mahon Architects designing the re-development.This was a government contract which meant that a product or supplier could not simply be specified. Instead, the architects had to work with façade consultants to develop a performance specification.

Identified as one of 13 national Infrastructure sectors by the UK Government, the water industry has invested heavily in recent years upgrading perimeter security systems with the aid of LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) and LPS1175 rated security fencing. The installation of 450 metres of fencing and various gates, including specially fabricated panels and bespoke fabrication work, was completed at an undisclosed water treatment works in the north of England as part of these upgrades. The project involved LPS1175 Issue 8: B3 (SR2) Combi™ SL2 Palisade security fencing, chosen by the Main contractors NMCN for its ease of installation, requiring no specialist tooling and the fact the system was designed to rake easily, solving issues raised with other security fencing solutions previously used.

Peakmoor was the stone of choice as it has a long history in the City.The project presents a major new Aztec rainscreen facade in the Peakmoor sandstone with balconies and a fully glazed iconic feature tower. A truly wonderful building with flexibility; lightweight, A1 non-combustible Aztec Natural Stone Cladding.

The challenge was to find a decking solution that was fully compliant with the latest Building Safety Regulations while maintaining the aesthetic of this historic London property.MyDek’s Luxura – an A1 fire-rated composite – was chosen for the project as it seamlessly aligned with the building’s aesthetics while delivering a robust, enduring surface for the upgraded outdoor spaces. The roof terraces had a limited loadbearing capacity that could not accommodate concrete paving and Luxura emerged as the ideal solution, allowing for top quality decking that remained well within structural limits.
