The perfect combination of service and product from leading paint manufacturer Johnstone’s Trade has ensured that Housing Leeds’ 2014 cyclical maintenance programme has got off to a flying start. Working closely with Housing Leeds and its partnering contractor Mears and Greens Decorating, PPG Extra undertook extensive pre-project planning to ensure an accurate and appropriate paint specification was made. This resulted in the use of Johnstone’s Flame Retardant Top Coats - in both Durable Matt and Acrylic Eggshell. Johnstone’s Colour Consultants also supplied over 30 different colour schemes for each building decorated during phase one.

Intermarché, Saint-Rambert-en-Bugey, France required a flooring which was quick and easy to install, suitable for high traffic retail areas, while being easy to maintain. They also wanted a stylish and attractive finish. The seamless Urban Concrete Grey interlocking loose lay flooring tiles were chosen for their project.

Vandersanden have just launched a newly enhanced series of six engaging and informative CPD webinars. Made-to-measure brushed satin stainless steel sinks and worktops, from GEC Anderson, have been installed in the breathing apparatus rooms, kit cleaning rooms and kitchens of the new Winchester Fire Station.The station relocated from its home of 74 years at North Walls to its new state-of-art facility inEaston Lane, Winnall,Winchester. The new five-bay fire station is operationally and strategically located on the outskirts of the city on a major access route, close to the M3. The new facility can accommodate 70-plus personnel and provides a continuously crewed facility as opposed to the previous just day-crewed arrangement, thus providing faster emergency cover over a greater area.Freestanding worktops, totalling more than 10 metres, were installed in the breathing apparatus (BA) room and kit cleaning area of the fire station. Industrial sized sinks were included to provide an effective washing facility for the fire crews specialist equipment. Sarah Collins, architect for Hampshire County Councils Property Services Department said, The specialised sinks were chosen for their ability to cope with an environment of high usage. We wanted a material that was robust enough to take the everyday knocks and last for the lifetime of the building. GEC Anderson sinks certainly met this requirement and are performing extremely well.

In 2020, Paul Dow Joinery approached us to create the kits for a two 5 bed house luxury development he was undertaking in Burntisland. The client wished to create energy efficient, large open-plan house's with wrap around balconies and large glass expanses to allow lots of solar gain but also draw attention to the amazing view of the River Forth right across to Edinburgh.Fast forward to July 2023 and we've only been on site for 4 days and look at the headway that has been made on the first property. The ground and first level are almost complete and ready for the roof. The client has opted for a large glazed roof panel to allow light through the mezzanine level down to the ground level.The houses will promote various renewable's including an air source heat pump, underfloor heating, solar panels and triple glazing to compliment the high level of air tightness provided by the SIPS system.

It offers bucket elevators, conveyors, pipes, silos, warehouses, milling machines, feed producing equipment, heat treatment devices, and accessories.Project/doors: 21 Speedor Storm High Speed DoorsThe challenge Gerico France delivered a turn-key flour mill project in Mombasa, Kenya for a Grain milling company at their state of the art milling plant. They required a solution to stop dust going out of the building instead of being aspirated by the installed system when emptying grain trucks into the wheat grain intake pit.The solutionHart installed three Speedor Storm doors from 4m wide x 5m high to 7m high. The Speedor Storm is the next generation of large external door which has improved wind resistance on both sides of the door and is suitable for larger openings, greater than 6m. This door does not require separate wind bars as the curtain contains wind bracing every 1m and is held securely into the guide channels with rollers at either side. The success Hart Doors sent an experienced engineer to Mombasa to supervise and assist in the installation and commissioning of the doors along with the training of staff to install future orders. 18 more Speedor Storms were ordered for a specialised dry bulk discharge and handling terminal for grain imports, located in Shimanzi, Mombasa.

The Morgan Stanley Building at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital benefitted from the high performance and durability qualities of leading paint manufacturer Johnstone’s Acrylic Durable Matt paint. A&S Landscape was approached to install a Cyclo City covered bicycle store at Thameside Primary School in Essex. The idea was to encourage as many pupils and staff as possible to cycle to and from school.

The new build development contained 17 dwellings for social rent, consisting of four one-bedroom flats, nine two-bedroom flats and four three-bedroom flats. The new development is located within an urban densely populated area of London. The 97 windows manufactured and supplied were predominately Optima Flush Tilt and Turn Windows from Profile 22 along with a small number of Optima open-out casement windows too. The Ascent Aluminium fixed ladder system was specified to create a permanent safe access route to the roof for maintenance personnel. As the fixed access ladder was to be installed in a prominent location adjacent the buildings front entrance there was a requirement to ensure that access was restricted with the specification of an anti-climb ladder guard & bottom hoop cover. Hoops were provided throughout for fall protection. The ladder was designed in accordance with BS EN 4211:2005 + A1 2008 and was manufactured in accordance with CE 1090 factory production control procedures.

The Lotse Canal separates Harburg’s Schlossinsel (“castle island”) from Hamburg city centre. Imperial Court, located in Central London is a landmark Grade II listed building. Having originally served as the headquarters of England’s Army, Navy and Air Force, the remarkable building has since been remodeled into residential accommodation, offering 64 homes in a heritage setting. Alexander Stadium, a 41-acre athletics venue located in Birmingham and home to the 22nd Commonwealth Games was redeveloped to create a world-class venue for diverse sporting, leisure, community, and cultural events.PPG Johnstone's Trade coatings were used to update the internal and external exposed steel structures and the stadium’s different walking and circulation areas including the concourse areas.

The outstanding performance characteristics of Johnstone’s Trade’s products have played an important role in the development and ongoing success of one of the UK’s most iconic new buildings, the Library of Birmingham. Bristol Airport manages over nine million passengers every year. Aiming to grow its capacity to take on more passengers, the airport has recently undergone an extensive expansion as part of its development plans. With new buildings to decorate and health and wellbeing objectives to meet as part of their vision, the team turned to Johnstone’s Trade.

The project includes two buildings : offices, a company restaurant, and a car park . To get visual and thermal confort in a all spaces , it had been installed more tan 938 Signum Bandalux aluminium venetian blinds .
