Also, as this was set to be a busy office space, high throughput was expected; therefore, a solution that could cope with higher levels of traffic was necessary. Limelite Renovating Plaster was appliedto control and minimise dampness that can occur inolder properties. High Impact Finishing Plaster was thenapplied, creating a BBA approved plaster system allowingthe walls to breathe while protecting them from damage,maintaining a heritage-style appearance.The Outcome:The Limelite plaster system was the perfect solutionfor The Beaney Institute. Important pieces of art andmuseum artefacts are protected from condensationand salt transfer from the walls.This modern solution works sympathetically with thefabric of the building providing the aesthetic finishexpected of a building of its character whilst also beingdurable enough to withstand the high footfall of thevisiting public.

Marlon CS was chosen as the glazing option for the first phase of the expansion for the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City FC’s home ground.Clear Marlon CS allows for a high level of light transmission, an important requirement for football stadia as it not only provides a bright sheltered stand for spectators but promotes a healthy pitch without shadows, a must for televised matches.The success for this product is shown through Etihad Stadium as almost 1500m² of Marlon CS already glazed the existing canopy, with a further 4,000m² of Clear 2mm Marlon CS chosen for the construction of a new third tier. When used in Etihad Stadium, Marlon CS rooflights and side-lights provide light, bright stands where spectators are protected from the weather. This light weight sheet with impact resistance and exceptional spanning capabilities is ideal for installation in the metal structures favoured by stadia designers. Co-extruded UV protection cuts out 98% of harmful radiation reducing the effects of weathering and tinted options allow solar control.Engineered for use in roof light and side-light applications, it has a 10 year light transmission and a 3 year weather breakage warranty due to its strength and impact resistant design.Technical support was provided from design right through to installation. Since the stadium is an oval shape, each sheet of the polycarbonate had to be cut to fit exactly. By having the technical support alongside the assembly of the rooflights and side-lights, ensured no mistakes were made and allowed for a much easier installation process.

Set within a protected woodland glade, Kimmeridge Court has been carefully crafted to preserve the quality of its natural setting. Designed by Medical Architecture and built by Kier for Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust, the facility creates a uniquely private and therapeutic environment for the treatment of patients with eating disorders.This inpatient unit, located within the grounds of the Grade II listed St Ann’s Hospital in Poole, provides specialist accommodation to meet a growing demand for the treatment of patients with eating disorders. It offers expanded and improved facilities including inpatient bedrooms, clinical and therapy spaces, and sensitively designed living spaces.The size and positioning of the building has been carefully designed to have a low impact on the mature coastal trees that occupy the site and to respect the character of the surrounding area. As have the buildings’ exterior, using traditional materials such as brick and clay roof tiles but in a contemporary manner, providing a modern and attractive setting that protects the existing context.

ABG Abweb TRP has a three dimensional cellular structure which when filled mitigates the vertical load pressure on the sub soils. The Abweb TRP cells act as a permanent form work to the road surface.In this no dig solution water and nutrients can flow into underlying soil allowing trees to flourish.

We built the world first Passivhaus CPD training facility / pub, this is the worlds most airtight pub at 0.07ach at 50 pa. This is a twin wall timber frame, it’s 450mm wide insulation Huntsman which is made of thousands of recycled plastic bottles. Huntsman also recycled 1 billion plastic bottles from the sea last year.
We have a 7.2 KW system solar panels system that powers the building, it’s got MVHR Nilan.
On the external façade we applied Passive Purple External which is airtight up to 0.03ach.

Acrylic Durable Eggshell in off-white was applied to the main wall areas for the striking colours. Other products that were specified for the project included Johnstone’s Covaplus Vinyl Matt on the ceilings, providing a durable finish that is resistant to fading. The doors, frames and skirting boards of the new school was covered with Johnstone’s Aqua Gloss in grey and orange to give a traditional gloss look.

Working closely with Housing Leeds and its partnering contractor Mears and Greens Decorating, PPG Extra undertook
extensive pre-project planning to ensure an accurate and appropriate paint specification was made. This resulted in the use
of Johnstone’s Flame Retardant Top Coats - in both Durable Matt and Acrylic Eggshell. Johnstone’s Colour Consultants also supplied over 30 different colour schemes for each building decorated during phase one.

Hangars have traditionally had fixed docking solutions, where the aircraft must be positioned in place under overhead safety rails or lifelines. In 2000, Arbo Union (Dutch authority for health and safety) identified that safety could be improved with better climbing techniques on high voltage masts. Arbo Union recommended MSA's Latchways range as the safest system. Following this guidance in 2001, electricity companies including TenneT compared MSA with other cable/rail systems to find the best solutions for their applications.
