Possible applications include: play areas, playgrounds, adventure parks, parks, paths and walkways as well as leisure centres.

Description

Wet pour rubber is an attractive, impact absorbing and low maintenance rubber crumb safety surface which is most commonly used as the flooring around playgrounds, parks and other recreational areas due to its high critical fall height.

This two layered system is created using an SBR sub-base topped with a coloured EDPM layer to create a vibrant and safe surface which cures after around 24—48 hours dependent on the outside temperature. Wet pour is created by mixing together a coloured EPDM rubber and a wet pour specific resin binder in a forced action mixer to create a material which can then be easily spread, levelled and finished off using trowels. Skilled installers are also able to provide graphics on the safety flooring such as different colours, shapes and even games or logos to meet the specification needs.

Features and benefits:

  • Versatile: the vibrant colours, safety and cushioning make wet pour rubber a versatile surfacing solution for use in a range of applications.
  • Vibrant: the bright and varied range of colours available will give a vibrant surfacing solution.
  • Permeable: wet pour rubber allows surface water to drain away naturally and help prevent localized flooding.
  • Low maintenance: easily maintain by following steps such as wearing suitable footwear, brushing or washing using soap and hot water.
  • UV stable resin binder used with the chosen rubber crumb means that the surface will not fade away in sunlight.
  • Variation: over 20 EPDM rubber crumb variants available.
  • Safe: when installed correctly with an SBR sub-base, it will have a critical fall height of >1.4 metres.
