Description

Designed and manufactured to each individual customers requirements, the W20 series is an extremely versatile steel window section allowing bespoke design and customization for use on modern, traditional and historic buildings alike.

Features and benefits:

Manufactured to exceed BS 6510:2010, the specification for steel framed windows.
Frames are protected from corrosion by being either galvanized or hot zinc sprayed to EN ISO 1461 or EN ISO 14713 (maximum thickness 250 microns).
Polyester powder-coated to BS EN 13438:2013 from the RAL colour range or other specialist finishes (minimum paint thickness of 60 microns).
The material originates from 98% recycled steel and is hot rolled in Switzerland using a patented process to ensure the sections arrive with precision accuracy.
Thermal and security performances are backed up by BRFC and PAS 24 certification.

W20 Steel Windows can be single glazed or fitted with 18 mm krypton filled insulated units for optimal thermal performance and 20.8 mm for maximum security. Fabco Sanctuary Ltd offer a wet glaze system for a traditional finish or an aluminium bead for a modern contemporary aesthetic. All Fabco double glazed units are designed with a 10 mm sightline spacebar that guarantees the spacebar will not interfere with the glass area. As only traditional glazing bars are used each individual square occupies a separate glazing unit. Some glazing options commonly used include, Clear or Satin Glass, Laminates, Leaded lights and DGU’s.

Fabco use traditional, handmade solid brass ironmongery with a proven track record that can be relied on to last a lifetime. The ironmongery is available in a number of plated, patina or lacquered finishes as well as satin and polished brass.

Fixing features	- Manufacturer guidance Consult manufacturer and insert requirements. W20 Steel windows are suitable for fixing direct to brickwork, concrete, stone or into subframes. Windows and integral sills must be installed in accordance with good building practice, allowing for damp proof course and finishes. No load should be applied to the head of any window. A perimeter joint design gap shall be provided, generally of not less than 2 mm and not greater than 8 mm once the frame is centralized in its opening, that allows for thermal movement, fabrication size variance and aperture construction tolerance.

Configuration	Bottom hung.
Ironmongery	- Manufacturer guidance Consult manufacturer and insert requirements. Side hung casements will be fitted with a single or duplex casement handle and a stay (peg or sliding stays). Top hung casements will be fitted with a peg-stay or if a multi-point lock or if PAS 24 is specified a casement handle will be used instead along with restrictive hinges. Bottom hung and both pivot variant casements are fitted with a spring catch only.
