Application

  • Exposed top decks of multi-storey car parks are used to accommodate additional vehicle parking rather than used for roofing.
  • However, they are totally exposed to weather conditions and must be equipped to cope with large quantities of rainfall. If water leaks through the top deck into the parking levels below it can result in slippery, unhygienic conditions, but if it gets into the underlying concrete then it can seriously affect the building’s structural integrity.
  • Top decks also experience more thermal movement than other levels, as the heat from the sun will cause everything to expand, including the building’s concrete. If the floor coating doesn’t move and flex with the concrete, then it will crack.
  • vebrodeck MMA ED is a multi-layer, water-tight system incorporating a flexible mebrane layer for additional flex and crack-bridging properties.

Application suitability:

  • External car park decks.
  • Partially exposed decks.
  • Podium decks.
  • Ramps and turning circles.
  • Loading bays.

Description

vebrodeck MMA ED is a fast–cure, methyl–methacrylate waterproof OS11a deck wearing system with dynamic crack bridging capabilities of between 0.3—0.6 mm (Class B3.2) designed for use on top and exposed decks of multi–storey parking structures.

vebrodeck MMA ED protects against weathering as well as water and chloride ion ingress. The material provides resistance to thermal shock and movement.

Features and benefits:

  • Dynamic crack bridging according to EN 1062–7, class B3.2 (-20°C).
  • Offers a fast return to service - each layer can be overrated in 60 minutes.
  • Excellent resistance to thermal shock, movement and weathering.
  • Protects against oils, fuels and de–icing salts.
