Product Options

Partition assembly:

Refer to drawing for disposition of specified elements.

Acoustic performance:

  • Can be used to limit noise transmission between rooms, using optional dense cladding, optional internal insulation. Type 100 panels have been tested to achieve sound reduction ratings of up to Rw 60 dB, measured in accordance with EN ISO 140-3.
  • Insulation typically related to panel weight. Average achieved site insulation typically less than laboratory conditions, due to flanking structures.
  • Can be used to control room sound absorption levels using optional fabric wrapped acoustic panels or optional perforated/ slotted sound absorbent boards.

Fire performance:

  • Available with optional fire separation construction. Particular fire rating may not be available in all panel types and finishes. Consult manufacturer prior to specification.
  • Available with optional finishes from standard range rated Class 1 Surface Spread of Flame when tested to BS 476 or Class 0, in accordance with Building Regulation (E&W) Approved Document B.

Operation:

- E: Fully electric:

  • Horizontal and vertical seals activated by 24 V electric motors concealed within panel thickness.
  • Electric relocation of panels by motors within trolleys, housed within special track type.
  • Each panel requires two-point suspension.
  • Power to trolleys conducted via busbars within track.

- M: Manual:

  • Manual relocation of panels.
  • Seals operated by removable winding handle.

- SE: Semi-electric:

  • Manual relocation of panels.
  • Horizontal and vertical seals activated by 24 V electric motors concealed within panel thickness.
  • Electrical supply to panels conducted through contacts in panel edge profiles.
  • Remote master switching (to be within sight of TE panel, for safe operation.

Mains connection by main contractor: 240 V,13 A with isolated breaker and fused spur adjacent to London Wall control box, below ceiling level and adjacent to TE panel.

Track layout:

- TL 1 ‘E’ system.

Straight runs only, panels stacked within opening. Single track, single point suspension.

- Z systems:

Straight runs only. Twin point guide roller suspension.

  • TL 2 ‘Za’ system: Minimal panel stack.
  • TL 3 ‘Zb’ system: Panels stacked within opening to left or right of track.
  • TL 4 ‘Z’ system: Stacked in recess cupboard.

- K systems:

For 90° movement of panels away from main track, twin point cross roller suspension.

  • TL 5 ‘K’ system: Two point suspension.
  • TL 6 ‘K’ system: Stacked behind reveal, two point suspension.
  • TL 7 ‘K’ system: Stacked inside wall recess, two point suspension.
  • TL 8 ‘K’ system: Stacked in branches to one or both sides.

Track profile:

  • Selection of material and profile by manufacturer, dependent on panel weight and other parameters. Consult manufacturer to confirm size.
  • Ceiling angle trim allows support of suspended ceiling edge.
  • 20 mm exposed angle trim required to avoid partition panels fouling ceiling when using TL 1 ‘E’ system single point suspension.

Wall jamb:

  • Finished to match panels as standard.
  • Can be supplied without wall jambs in special cases.
  • Independent wall jamb available in instances where wall structure unsuitable for standard wall jamb. Fixed to structural floor and soffit.
