Application

Placement and repair of iron works in locations subject to constant heavy vehicle trafficking.

Description

A high-performance, naturally pure hydraulic mortar, especially formulated for the placement and repair of iron works in locations subject to constant heavy vehicle trafficking such as motorways, railways and airport hardstanding and runways. Installations using tuffset 60 in combination with Steintec' tuffset G achieve compliance with DMRB HD27/04 3.11.

Features and benefits:

  • Used as a rapid-setting alternative to traditional sand and cement mortars, offering a single product, durable solution for emergency works and night repairs under poor lighting conditions.
  • Its frost resistant and slightly elastic characteristics make it less brittle and more durable than general sand:cement mixtures.
  • Completely free of chemical admixtures, polymers or resins.

Once the ironworks have been placed on a bed of 'tuffset 60' the manufacturer recommends the use of 'tuffset G' to fill around the ironwork frame in preparation for completion of the surface course(s).Consult with Steintec for further details.
