tuffbond High Performance Bonding and Priming Mortar - Bonding and priming mortar for paving

A high-performance bonding and priming mortar, formulated for use in bound construction modular pavements. using natural stone, concrete, clay and porcelain paving units. Bonding/priming mortar is used in combination with Steintec bedding and jointing mortars.

Features and benefits:

• A 1–2 mm thick coat of tuffbond, applied in accordance with the manufacturer's method statement, creates an enhanced adhesion bond of >2 MPa between bedding mortar and natural stone or concrete paving elements (flags, slabs, bocks or setts) and referenced in BS7533-101, 5.4.2.
• Enhances the adhesion between bedding mortar and supporting concrete structures/ concrete road base, where used, resulting in a durable pavement with high resistance to thermal stresses and traffic induced shear forces.
• Completely polymer and resin free.

To achieve full compliance with BS7533-101:2021 for traffic categories 5 -9, light - heavily trafficked pavement construction, tuffbond is a fundamental requirement and intended for use with tuffbed or tuffbed 2-pack bedding mortars and tufftop jointing mortar.
