Trief is the original containment kerb system providing enhanced vehicle and pedestrian safety through physical and visual deterrence. The GST2 units allow installation on limited depth applications.
Urban, industrial and commercial use: safety containment kerb to contain and re-direct stray vehicles safely e.g. bridge approach, bridge decks, car parks, highways, traffic islands, industrial projects etc.
The Trief GST2 Containment Kerb has the same profile as the Trief GST2A but comes with a reduced toe depth to allow for sites where it is necessary to minimize excavation requirements and allow installation within limited depth applications, for example, around the vulnerable structural parapets and edge beams of bridges. The Trief GST2 kerbs can be supplied with pre-drilled dowel holes for added security.
The system has been independently tested by the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) and is BS EN 1317–2 compliant providing a containment level of N1 and an impact severity level of ‘A’ rating (Report Number TRL068).
The Trief Containment Kerb system has been widely used to form traffic calming features, pedestrian refuges and to protect bridges and can also be used to enhance security features by reducing traffic speeds and as a visual and physical deterrent to deliberate incursion.
