Stormdry FD-Coat forms a waterproof barrier and bridges small cracks in walls providing performance against flood water. The coating is partially breathable and gives a semi- gloss appearance.
"Apply when rain is not forecast for the next 24 hours. Minimum application temperature is 5 ºC, Stormdry FD-Coat should not be applied if temperatures are forecast to drop below this temperature.
Window/door frames, glass surfaces and plants should be covered up before treatment, since removal of silicone resin splashes after drying can be very difficult. Splashes should be removed as soon as possible using white spirit.
Apply by brush or roller. Make sure a complete and even coat is applied. Brushes and rollers should be cleaned immediately with white spirit.
Stormdry FD-Coat cures quickly once applied to dry substrates and when exposed to humidity in the air. It is dry to touch after 2 hours and tack free after 4 hours. Complete drying for heavier film builds may require up to 24 hours, leaving a slightly darkened look to the wall. If necessary Stormdry FD-Coat can be re-coated.
Stormdry FD-Coat will bridge cracks up to 0.6 mm with a single coat application although it may be necessary to apply a second coat on significantly damaged walls.
A clear, water-resistant coating, intended for use on masonry and stone. It can be used as a topcoat for Stormdry, for properties at risk of low-level flooding. The clear liquid is ready for use and can be applied by brush and roller. Stormdry® FD-Coat forms a waterproof barrier and bridges small cracks in walls, providing performance against floodwater. The coating is partially breathable and gives a semi-gloss appearance, which fades with time. Any large cracks should be repaired using a suitable mortar mix, incorporating Stormdry® Repointing Additive No. 2 and allowed to cure for seven to fourteen days. Stormdry® Cream should be used as a primer before applying Stormdry® FD-Coat.
