Application

Suitable:

  • For use in damp conditions and has excellent freeze / thaw resistance when used in external environments.
  • To be used for the non-structural repair of lower strength concrete elements such as floor screeds, concrete paving slabs, balcony edges, stair treads and risers.
  • For producing gradients for ramps.

Description

STOPGAP 460 is a polymer modified, fast setting mortar for repairing external floors prior to the application of STOPGAP 850 or for use in internal applications under STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes. It has been specifically designed for use in damp conditions and has excellent freeze / thaw resistance when used in external environments.

STOPGAP 460 is dimensionally stable and is supplied as a pre-blended dry powder designed for applications between 3-50 mm. It is protein-free which allows it to be used in biologically sensitive areas.

STOPGAP 460 is suitable for use with sand/cement screeds and concrete and under STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes.

Preparation:

  • The prepared substrate should be pre-soaked with water, preferably 30 minutes before applying STOPGAP 460.
  • The surface must be damp, but without standing water.
  • For areas subject to heavy traffic, apply a bonding layer by mixing STOPGAP 460 to a wet consistency and apply to the pre-soaked surface. Apply mortar wet on wet.
