Application

For joining new walls to existing structures. They can be used to extend an existing structure or they can be used to help create an additional leaf where a cavity is required, for example in the restoration or conversion of an old building.

  • SST starter ties are used where new walls are being built directly from existing brickwork. Alternatively can be used without plug and screwed directly into timber door or window frames.
  • SST cavity starter ties are used where there is a cavity and a new wall needs to be built.
  • SSFT starter frame ties are used for fixing timber door and window frames to brickwork by building into mortar courses as construction progresses.
  • FT/145 frame ties are used for fixing timber door and window frames to brickwork by building into mortar courses as construction progresses.
