Starter ties allow new walls to be joined to existing structures. They can be used to extend an existing structure or they can be used to help create an additional leaf where a cavity is required.

For joining new walls to existing structures. They can be used to extend an existing structure or they can be used to help create an additional leaf where a cavity is required, for example in the restoration or conversion of an old building.
- SST starter ties are used where new walls are being built directly from existing brickwork. Alternatively can be used without plug and screwed directly into timber door or window frames.
- SST cavity starter ties are used where there is a cavity and a new wall needs to be built.
- SSFT starter frame ties are used for fixing timber door and window frames to brickwork by building into mortar courses as construction progresses.
- FT/145 frame ties are used for fixing timber door and window frames to brickwork by building into mortar courses as construction progresses.
