Description

SSQ Domiz slate is mined and hand split exclusively for SSQ from the Orense region in North-West Spain. The region is renowned for its high-performance roofing slates. Domiz slate has been in use in the UK and Ireland since 1996, offering a long track record of proven quality and lasting aesthetic beauty. It achieves excellent results when tested to the BS EN 12326 achieving the all-important “W1-T1-S1” classification and complies with the arduous Norm Francais (NF 228), which has the strictest slate testing criteria and procedures in the world

Conveniently similar in appearance to the now defunct Ffestiniogg quarry in Wales, so it is increasingly being chosen by specifiers as a robust alternative to this Welsh slate quarry.
