Speed gate motorised flap leaf. Various lengths, heights, and top lids available.
SpeedStile FL (600mm clear opening) and SpeedStile FLW (900 mm clear opening) cabinets provide a high design finish together with effective security features. Large range of possible personalization and options are available. Proven technology for fast and reliable operation. The small footprint makes the SpeedStile FL the preferred solution for sites where security and high flow rate in a limited space is required. Its glass and stainless steel design allows it to be incorporated into most areas and helps minimize the barrier effect. Passage in both directions electronically controlled. The SpeedStile FL is available in Normally Closed (N/C) mode and it will only open on acceptance of an authorized signal. On receiving a signal from the access control system the leaves will open. If an unauthorized person tries to tailgate or attempts to enter from the opposite direction, the system detects the unauthorized passage and activates the in-built alarm system. Presence detection is achieved by infra-red sensors. SpeedStile FLW can be used to prevent issues of restricted access to wheelchair users (SpeedStile FLW are also available to accommodate sports wheelchairs, please contact a Gunnebo UK Ltd Sales Executive for advice). SpeedStile FL/ FLW have failsafe opening i.e. the leaves will drive open automatically on power failure and remain open until the power is restored.

Standard product features
Insert drawing/ schedule reference number where appropriate. The following speed gate types are available:
In order to create a lane, it is necessary to order at least one left and one right cabinet. To create more than one lane, use one or more central cabinets (or combi cabinets) together with one left and one right cabinet. Combi cabinets are available to create one or more wide passageways within a standard width combination. Where you have more than one lane the specification must be accompanied by a drawing indicating the layout of the cabinets and the quantity and type of accessory fitted to them.
In the event of a power failure the leaves will drive open and remain open until the power is restored.
Power supply required:
230 V AC 50/ 60 Hz.
- Cut outs and provision for proximity reader under glass:
The size of the cut out will be dependent upon which reader has been specified (the reader will generally be part of the access control package). Check with Gunnebo UK Ltd Sales Executives for advice on the size and location of the cut out and reader suitability.
- Visitor card capture system:
The card capture unit is mounted within the cabinet and has a slot facility integrated within the exit side of the lid. Generally only one unit is required per area. The unit works in conjunction with a card reader to check the validity of the visitor's request to leave and either rejects the card or grants egress and retains their card. The cabinet contains a drop box facility which will allow cards to drop within it. Access to the drop box is easily made via a lockable end leg. The card reader and the card capture unit will generally be part of the access control package.
- Lift screen integration:
A semi-recessed housing is provided within the lid of the cabinet to accommodate a screen at the correct viewing angle. The screen itself will be supplied and installed by others. Gunnebo recommend that the lift call screens be as small as possible to ensure their suitability. Note - Gunnebo are unable to advise if the integration of the lift call screens is possible without knowing what screen is being proposed.
- LED way mode indicator on the end leg:
80 x 65 mm display showing either a green arrow or a red cross. They give a clear indication to users approaching the lanes which lanes are for entry/exit and which lanes are closed. This is particularly useful where the operational mode of the speed gate is altered to match pedestrian flow conditions.
- Emergency break glass unit mounted on the end leg:
Allows egress in an emergency.
- Remote push button console:
Single or double push button mounted in a 200 x 120 x 75 mm stainless steel enclosure with timber ends.
