Application

Specifically formulated to protect concrete structures against natural mediums and gases in soil, groundwater or seawater.

Can be used in any below-ground structures for horizontal and vertical applications that are exposed to aggressive ground conditions and stress such as:

  • Basements.
  • Tunnels.
  • Diaphragm walls.
  • Under-slab applications, including pile caps and penetrations.
  • Direct application within steel sheet piling.
  • Below structural reinforced concrete slabs.

Description

Fully-bonded, self-healing, mechanically bonded, contaminate-resistant waterproofing membrane. It is a pre-hydrated, needle-punched, PE-flexible membrane that combines the swelling performance of sodium bentonite with high-strength polypropylene geotextiles. The bentonite clay component can swell, sealing cracks and minor holes and forming an impermeable layer.

  • Self-healing, puncture-resistant natural sodium bentonite tanking, tested to BS 8102.
  • A flexible polyethylene layer is integrally bonded to the non-woven geotextile.
  • Polymer-modified BBA-accredited barrier system, designed to resist contaminated and saline ground water.
  • Laminated low-density polyethylene (LDPE) layer provides protection against climate and environmental variations.
  • Automatic mechanical bond to freshly poured concrete eliminates water tracking.
  • Can be applied in temperatures below freezing.
  • Ten-year guarantee when used as a single system.
  • 15-year guarantee when used in dual system with Sika Watertight Concrete or Sika Cavity Drainage System.
