Description

Lightweight, fire-resisting structures designed to protect elements within service cores of modern, fast-track developments. Can also be used to protect all forms of ducts in conventional buildings.

Systems provides a protective structure which can be incorporated before the building envelope is sealed. Can also be built horizontally to provide a fire-rated membrane (ShaftWall™ used horizontally should not be used for materials storage or for access for personnel).

Shaft enclosures are built from one side only.

Not suitable for use in areas subjected to continuous damp or humid conditions. Specify MR (moisture resistant) boards in intermittent wet areas.

Performance:

  • Fire resistance: Up to 120 minutes.
  • Sound insulation: Up to Rw 50 dB.
